Chelsea v West Bromwich Albion preview: Antonio Conte looking for response

Chelsea were humbled 4-1 at Watford on Monday and head into the game with questions surrounding Conte's future at the club. Olivier Giroud is in line for a first start since his Deadline Day move from Arsenal, but fellow arrival Emerson may have to wait for his debut, having started only one game all season due to injury. Conte will be relieved to have an unblemished record in three meetings against the Baggies since he took over at Chelsea, winning all three of their previous games without conceding.

Failed takeover and unhappy fans: What's going on at Newcastle?

Newcasatle are only two points above the drop zone and discontent is rising as they prepare to face Manchester United on Super Sunday. But is there any hope of resurrecting Amanda Staveley's proposed takeover? What are the club's prospects of keeping Rafa Benitez? And what happened in the January transfer window? We asked Sky Sports News' man in the north-east Keith Downie for the lowdown ahead of Sunday's clash at St James' Park.My opinion is that it is dead until the end of the season - or at least until Newcastle's fate is sealed one way or another regarding which division they will be playing in next season. That's pretty much the reason it fell through in the first place.

Paul Merson thinks Arsenal should get Antonio Conte to replace Arsene Wenger

Arsenal should move quickly to replace Arsene Wenger with Antonio Conte if the Italian leaves Chelsea, according to Paul Merson. Despite winning the Premier League title last season, Conte is under increasing pressure at Chelsea following a string of poor results - most recently a 4-1 defeat at Watford - that have left the Blues just one point clear of fifth-placed Tottenham. Wenger signed a new two-year deal at Arsenal last summer, but Merson thinks the movement behind the scenes suggest that the Frenchman's reign could come to an end this summer.

West Ham suspend Tony Henry over claims of club policy against signing Africans

West Ham have suspended director of player recruitment Tony Henry over claims he said the club would not sign any more African players. The Daily Mail reported that Henry said African players "cause mayhem" when they are not in the team. In a statement, West Ham said they will not tolerate any type of discrimination and have "therefore, acted swiftly due to the serious nature of these claims". The Football Association says it will formally investigate the matter. West Ham said Henry has been suspended pending "a full and thorough investigation". A statement continued: "The West Ham United family is an inclusive one where, regardless of gender, age, ability, race, religion or sexual orientation, everybody feels welcome and included. "The club will make no further comment until the investigation has been concluded." All employees are trained on equality, diversity and unconscious bias, said the club. The Professional Footballers' Assocaition said it was "shocked" by the reported comments and encouraged by West Ham's response. "The PFA strongly condemn any such views and there is no place for them in football," it said. West Ham have six first-team squad members of African descent: Cheikhou Kouyate, Pedro Obiang, Joao Mario, Angelo Ogbonna, Arthur Masuaku and Edimilson Fernandes. Senegal striker Diafra Sakho left the club in the January transfer window to join Rennes, with Ghana international Andre Ayew heading to Swansea.

Sam Clucas: Swansea midfielder apologises for goal celebrations

Swansea's Sam Clucas has apologised for his celebrations against Arsenal after claims it referenced the logo of a website that has pornographic content. Clucas scored twice in Swansea's 3-1 Premier League win over the Gunners, using the same gesture each time. A Swansea statement said the midfielder had "apologised for any offence he might have caused" and was "not fully aware" of the pornographic content. A FA spokesperson told BBC Sport: "We are looking into the matter." The 27-year-old's two goals, plus one from Jordan Ayew, saw Swansea come back from a goal down at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night and climb off the bottom of the Premier League table. The Swansea statement added: "The club will speak to Sam again internally to establish the full facts, while also taking the opportunity to remind everyone of their responsibilities. "We wholeheartedly condemn the degradation of women and believe everyone's rights, dignity and individual worth is to be respected."
